How to choose economical cat litter in India

The most economical litter is not necessarily the bag with the lowest price. Compare what you pay, how much you use and whether your cat is comfortable using it.

By Eco Furr · Product and material guidance

Start with the delivered price per kilogram

Divide the pack price plus delivery charges by the pack weight in kilograms. Compare the same material and pack size where possible. A low advertised price can lose its advantage once shipping is added. Ask whether the quoted total includes any applicable taxes and delivery before you decide.

Then compare actual use, not just the bag

Clumping performance, tray size, the number of cats and your cleaning routine all affect how quickly litter is used. Record your own purchases and top-ups over several weeks. Divide the amount spent by the number of days it lasted to estimate your household’s daily cost. No single pack-life promise fits every home.

Keep the cleaning routine consistent

Scoop clumps and solid waste daily and maintain the recommended depth. Follow the instructions on your chosen product. Removing only waste and topping up when needed helps you understand real consumption, but it does not replace periodic tray cleaning and full litter changes.

Check your cat’s preferences

Price is only useful if your cat uses the tray. Texture, scent and changes to a familiar routine can affect acceptance. Cats Protection generally recommends unscented litter. Introduce a different litter gradually or offer a separate tray rather than replacing a familiar setup abruptly.

Compare Eco Furr honestly

Eco Furr cat litter comes in several ranges, sizes and fragrances, with free delivery across India. Current prices are shown on the products page from our live price list and confirmed before you buy, so we do not publish a cost-per-day, cheapest-in-India or savings claim. Odour-control granules are an add-on, not a substitute for litter.
